Here are the top 3 stories in Buffalo today: According to University Police, the SUNY Buffalo State College campus closed Thursday morning due to a bomb threat. Officials report that they received the threat around 10:45 a.m. They subsequently closed the campus and canceled both Thursday and Friday classes. As of Thursday evening, police did not find a credible threat but the investigation is ongoing. (WGRZ.com)Many local Buffalo colleges have recently acquired new names. First D'Youville, then Daemen, and now possible Medaille. The common change? They've all replaced "college" with "university." The change comes after the New York State Board of Regents updated their definition of what can be considered a "university."
