SILVER SPRING, MD — Montgomery County police have arrested a man in connection with the Nov. 2021 armed robbery of a Silver Spring mobile store. Police said they have arrested Eric Phillip Bucksell, 52, of Baltimore. He is being held in jail without bond. On Friday, Nov. 12, 2021, at approximately 5:50 p.m., police responded to the Metro By T-Mobile, located in the 10200 block of New Hampshire Avenue for a report of an armed robbery that just occurred. Police said Bucksell entered the store and approached the counter, announcing the robbery by motioning with his hand and stating he had a gun. He then demanded money from an employee and then fled the scene with the stolen cash. Based on evidence discovered during the investigation, the Montgomery County Police Crime Laboratory – Forensic Biology Unit and detectives from the Major Crimes Division said they identified Bucksell as the suspect. The Montgomery County Repeat Offender Unit arrested Bucksell in Baltimore on Tuesday and transported him to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit. He is being held without bond.
