Police Looking For Suspect In Rockville 7-Eleven Armed Robbery

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD — Detectives with the Montgomery County Police Department are investigating a robbery that occurred recently at a 7-Eleven in the 11500 block of Rockville Pike. Detectives have released surveillance photos of the male suspect and are asking for the public's assistance in identifying him. On Wednesday, March 17, 2022, at approximately 10:15 p.m., officers said they responded the business for a report of a robbery that just occurred. Detectives determined that the suspect entered the 7-Eleven, approached the cashier counter, pointed a large knife at an employee and demanded that he open the cash register. Credit: Montgomery County Police DepartmentWhen the employee complied with the demands, the suspect began emptying the cash into his backpack. The suspect then fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register, according to detectives. Detectives said the suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 6 feet 2 inches tall and 200 pounds. He was wearing a black ski mask, a black and gray Northface brand jacket, a black sweater and black jeans. He was carrying a black backpack with a silver stripe on it, detectives said.
