Description

DULLES, VA — A mobile lounge at Washington Dulles International Airport, shuttling people to the main terminal, hit a barrier early Wednesday evening, causing two people to be hospitalized and 12 people to be evaluated for injuries. The lounge was transporting passengers to the airport's Customs facility when a rear wheel hit a jersey wall around 5 p.m., the Washington Metropolitan Airports Authority told The Associated Press. The two passengers were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to officials. The oft-criticized lounges are essentially large buses that often jolt, causing passengers to lose their balance, especially the unlucky passengers who must stand up and hold onto a strap.
