Is your sound kinda thin? The bottom doesn't sound tight?
There's a reason why a "rhythm section" is drums + bass + rhythm guitar. You get a solid core and you can lay almost anything over it and it will sound fantastic. But here's the rub...rhythm is an art. Its not scales, or patterns. Its a groove...its a feeling.
And thats what I bring. I don't do lead work. Never interested in lead work. Lead is the icing on a cake...you can have the best cake decorator in the world, but if the actual "cake" is lopsided, flat, and messy, the icing and decorating won't look good.
I'm looking for a group that could use a solid rhythm player to fill out their sound. I like almost all genre's of music, except rap and death metal.
Not looking for young turks with dreams of super-stardom...been there done that. I'm a few years away from retirement, I just want to have fun creating music and getting gigs. Would like to work with musicians in Anderson County, or within 25 - 30 minutes travel from Oak Ridge, preferrably the same age bracket (late 50 - early 60 year old) as myself.
