The Irving Arts Center is an art center located in Irving, Texas. With over 91,500 square feet of performing arts space and 3,800 square feet of Main Gallery, this 10-acre complex is a great spot for everyone to visit. With over 20 exhibits per year, there is always something to do for any age. The art center is also known for its unique programming that caters to the whole family. This 10-acre complex is definitely one to check out while in Irving! The arts center includes a 3,000-square-foot performance space and four galleries. Sculpture garden is another great attraction of the center. There are many sculptures to admire, including Star Flower by James Surls, Fountain Columns by Jesus Moroles, and Benches by Michael Manjarris. All of the pieces are commissioned specifically for the center and the permanent collection. Several others are on loan from other organizations. The main gallery at the Irving Arts Center has five different exhibits throughout the year. The permanent collection displays works from renowned artists, including world famous painters and sculptors. The second gallery features works of art from all over the world. The Irving Arts Center also features a sculpture garden and two fully equipped theaters. This cultural center is a must-see for anyone who loves live art in a vibrant community. The Center has a symphony orchestra and a choral ensemble. The two ensembles work closely with the Irving Independent School District to introduce students to orchestral music. The ensemble also performs at the annual 4th of July celebration. Members are chosen through a competitive audition process and serve as a pipeline for pre-professional dancers. The concerts are free and open to the public. A live concert is always a great way to spend an afternoon. The Irving Arts Center is home to an award-winning symphony orchestra. The organization partners with the Irving Independent School District to provide concerts for schoolchildren and a community.
