Description
Evergreen is one of the oldest African Methodist Episcopal (AME) churches in Baltimore City. We have been serving the St. John community and the surrounding area for over one hundred (100) years. We continue to strive to be like the evergreen tree, yielding fruit to the area throughout the year, as we move to the goal of being a central place to help the community. We have provided a place to meet, a place to receive needed clothing, a place to attend workshops, a food pantry, and a food kitchen (Aunt Jot Joan’s Kitchen).
Now, due to age, it is time to restore and update the house. The floor in the utility room has become unsafe. Additional structural improvements are required and our restrooms require updating in order to support those in the community with disabilities. Evergreen needs these repairs so that we can reopen and continue to serve our parishioners and our community.
Evergreen’s Restoring the House Project campaign has launched on several media platforms, and we ask for community support.
Visit and support at our website http://www.evergreename.org/r... or our GoFundMe: https://gofund.me/92b03fee- #RestoretheHouse. It has been an honor and a pleasure to provide support and a true sense of community to the St. John community and the surrounding area for over one hundred (100) years.CONTACT INFORMATION: Evergreen African Methodist Episcopal Church Reverend Darryl Ford, Pastor Phone: (410) 934-7524 Email: [email protected] Facebook: /EvergreenAMEInstagram: /evergreenamec
