MIDDLETOWN, RI — Pet owners can get their pets up-to-date on their vaccinations at a pair of low-cost vaccination clinics from the Potter League For Animals. Rabies vaccines will be available for $10, and distemper for free thanks to a donation from Petco Love. The first clinic will be held at the Potter League's facility on Oliphant Lane March 26, and the second at the Pets In Need Veterinary Clinic on Amaral Street in East Providence. Both clinics will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Cat vaccines will be given from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. and dogs from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Rabies vaccines will cost $10, payable on the day of the clinic. To be eligible for a three-year vaccine, pet owners must show proof of previous vaccination. Otherwise, a one-year vaccine will be provided. Cats and ferrets must be in carriers, and dogs on a leash. All pets must be at least 12 weeks old. Vaccines will be given on a first-come, first-served basis.
