Oversight of the pool operations and oversight of other on-duty lifeguards Performance of day-to-day operations including but not limited to prescribed series of facility checks, monitoring and documentation of pool conditions, and monitoring of daily weather conditions Remedy and report operational issues to Recreation Services Coordinator and Campus Safety as appropriate. Address any last-minute changes in lifeguard schedules with the goal of safe and compliant pool operations during all operating hours Provide supervision and leadership to all lifeguards Address complaints and/or provide corrective action involving pool patrons in an effective and professional manner Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Education & Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a lifeguard. Current Lifeguard, CPR/AED, WSI and CPO certifications. Child Protection Clearances required by PA Act 153 to include PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record Check Must be willing and able to work weekends and evenings Required Skills & Abilities: Maturity, communication, and interpersonal skillsOrganizational and time management skillsDemonstrated leadership abilitiesReliability and dependabilityAbility to work and relate well with people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities *This position requires a background check. *This position requires Child Abuse Certifications prior to the commencement of service.
