EDINA, MN — The Edina Chamber of Commerce is encouraging residents to nominate a local educator for its 2022 Teacher of the Year Award. Nominees must be a teacher — or a team of teachers — in the Edina Public Schools system who goes "above and beyond" in their classroom, according to the nomination form. The Chamber expanded its eligibility requirements for the 2022 award to include teams of teachers. The award is meant to honor a teacher who "exemplifies creativity, enthusiasm, commitment and development of a positive learning environment," according to the Chamber. "More and more we rely on this type of synergy to achieve learning results." Nominations can also include letters of support from parents, colleagues, students and former students, and community members. Nominations are due by March 31.
