Press release from the Buffalo Grove Police Department: March 23, 2022 During the recent St. Patrick's Day holiday enforcement period, the Buffalo Grove Police Department issued 19 citations for seatbelt violations, and 39 traffic citations, which included speeding, distracted driving and other violations. The Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over and Click It or Ticket enforcement effort ran from Friday, March 11 through the early morning hours of Friday, March 18. The goal of the campaign is to keep impaired drivers off the roads and ensure more people buckle up and follow all traffic laws. The Police Department joined forces with State and local law enforcement, in addition to highway safety partners for the enforcement efforrt, which is made possible by federal traffic safety funds administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
