Position Overview The safety minded candidate's duties for this entry level warehouse associate will include picking, packing and shipping merchandise accurately along with loading and unloading trucks. Some responsibilities will also include performing quality inspections on incoming and outgoing merchandise and meet daily requirements accurately and promptly. We are looking for a self- motivated individual that can lift 50 lbs and manage priorities and is committed to Excellence & Customer Service. Benefits: - Competitive Pay - Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance - 401 (k) plan, eligibility after 1 year of employment (dollar for dollar match up to 5%) - Paid Time Off after 90 days of employment - Continuing Education reimbursement $2500 annually Essential duties and responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Assist shipping and receiving unloading trucks and checking in merchandise Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards Open bales, crates and other containers Maintains inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, printing request, recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed through a computer. May also assist in counting of physical inventory Prepare parcels for mailing Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and work stations neat; Sweep, dust and mop. Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times Wear the proper safety equipment Performing other work-related duties as assigned Qualifications, Skills & Experience Must be highly motivated and able to work independently Possess effective verbal and written communication skills Basic reading skills Must be organized and able to prioritize and multi-task Knowledge of workplace safety procedures Ability to work in a fast pace environment Detail oriented Dependable and Reliable GED or High School Diploma Desired skills but not limited to: Operate a forklift Inventory, Equipment maintenance, data entry and computer skills may be required Phone Skills Warehouse Experience Clean driving record Schedule Warehouse hours range from 6:00am-5:30pm Monday-Friday with a rotating half day Saturday.
