Job Description: Equipment Operator Department: Golf Course Maintenance Reports to: Superintendent FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly) Purpose: The equipment operator, under the supervision of the superintendent, assistant superintendent or equipment manager, performs work involving the use of large and small equipment including tractors, loaders, backhoes, mowers and other maintenance equipment. Safety Sensitive: Operates a motor vehicle or other vehicle. Work with industrial chemicals. Essential Duties • Mows greens, tees, fairways and rough. • Operates all types of equipment including utility vehicles, flymos, mechanical sand trap rakes, aerifiers, sprayers, turf vacs, skip loaders and sprayers. • Uses hand tools including weed eaters, edgers, pruners and trimmers. • Performs other duties as directed by his/her supervisor. Employment Standards • Ability to follow oral and written directions • Knowledge of safe, efficient operation of motorized and hand held equipment.
