Horror Surf/Garage Band

I’m on the hunt for folks who want to play in a spooky instrumental surf band. The band already kind of exists, and it’s called the Ouija Chords. This is a personal project I’ve played with off and on for over 10 years, but I recently recorded a handful of tracks myself and I want to make it a real band with more people than just me. What I’m looking for are people who have an interest in some or all of the following: Famous Monsters of Filmland, Basil Gogos, the Mummies, the Cramps, the Ghastly Ones, Electric Wizard, Kenneth Anger, Ghoulardi, the Sonics, the Bomboras, Ratfink and Unsolved Mysteries. I play every part in the currently recorded material, but I’m most proficient and experienced in guitar. The positions to fill would be rhythm guitar, bass, drums, and three finger combo organ (like 96 tears level keyboard proficiency. Ive got a rad Yamaha organ synth that does the job well). I’m not a music professor, and I’m not looking to make a career of this, but I am going for a specific aesthetic. You have to be willing to wear a monster mask on stage and goof off and maybe we’ll play bar shows or car shows or séances a couple times a year. It’s a long shot, but if you want to get light-hearted satanic and reverby, I want to as well. I’m 33 and have played in surf and garage bands in the past, generally looking for people mid 20s and up, early onset sciatica punks.
