Hello! I am a graduate researcher at the University of Massachusetts Boston. I want to know how Paid Family Medical Leave (PFML) has affected both Massachusetts workers and the owners of Massachusetts small businesses. The purpose of this research is to understand how paid family leave impacts businesses and employees and how it can be improved. The research will only take approximately 30 minutes to an hour of your time, and will be conducted remotely. To participate, you must: -be 18 years of age or older AND -have applied for PFML with the Department of Paid Family Medical Leave between January 1, 2021 and June 30, 2021. OR -own a business in Massachusetts (with fewer than 500 employees) If you choose to participate, you will be asked to take a brief survey. Then, you will be sent an invitation for a private Zoom interview at your convenience. Important: Your participation in this research is confidential. The information gathered for this project will not be published or presented in a way that would allow anyone to identify you.
