The Role We are seeking a Deck Installer to join our team. You will work closely with our Project Managers and your other co workers to bring the dream of our customers to life. This job has a lot of heavy lifting, fast problem solving, and bad weather. A deck installer demo's old decks, and builds new ones that are proudly stamped with the CFD name. If you're offended when someone critiques your work, or you get all political about things that happen outside of work, or maybe you don't want to accept heavy challenges because you might fail, sorry -this job isn't for you. We want team members that are highly positive and energized to work as a team, and find the best solutions or ideas. The typical hard ass construction worker is not who we are looking for. We like the humble ones, that care about the people they are around. Here's the thing: Yeah, it's just installing decks & fences. Alright, so we spend 40+ hours a week at work so we strongly believe that each person must love their job here at CFD. So, when we’re recruiting, we screen for folks who we think will enjoy the job. Here’s a few “realities” of this position: Working in the weather - rain or shine! Dealing with unhappy customers at times Driving in traffic - we only work within 1 hour radius of our office, but there is traffic sometimes It's hard work! You're working with heavy materials and you'll break a sweat for sure Compensation Pay is important, we totally agree! We believe that your pay should reward you for your contribution to the team and it’s something we discuss during Quarterly Conversations. We also don’t expect people to come to CFD for a pay cut, so we’ll make it worth your time! For this position, we have $18 - 40 per hour budgeted but we make offers on a case-by-case basis.
