POSITION SUMMARY : WestCoast Exhibit is looking for an experienced Millman/Exhibit Builder/Cabinet Maker/Carpenter/Metal Builder/General Warehouse to join our eccentric team in Anaheim, CA. We are seeking an experienced and skilled individual to work on a wide range of projects from custom sculptural elements and interactive exhibits/experiences to modular systems for global corporate clients. Required Qualifications : • Proven experience fabricating with a multitude of materials • Proven experience operating a variety of machine and hand tools • Proven experience doing finish applications of paint, stain, dyes, and clear coat • Experience working in a fast-paced shop environment • Ability to engineer solutions at the bench for complex fabrication projects • Ability to work nights and weekends, as needed, for installations Position Responsibilities : • Work to a high degree of fit and finish • Construct high quality, corporate level architectural and environmental interiors using various types of materials including wood, plastics, fabrics, and metals. • Responsible for planning work layouts from plans and sketches. This includes collaborating with designers and other builders to interpret and find solutions to fabrication challenges. • Set up and safely operate various machines and hand tools • Prepping for finishing applications through hand or mechanical application for various finishes to include; paint, stain, dyes and clear coat. • Construct crates that ensure the safe transportation of product. • Responsible for the installation and repair of interactive exhibits, experiences, displays, etc. • Work with Production/Project management to resolve project concerns and/or problems that may arise during the project development and build phases. • Ensure the production of projects are within constraints of timelines and budget. • Communicate status of projects consistently to Shop Foreman, Production Manager, Project Managers, and leadership • Prototyping: interfaces, finishes, fabrication methods and other forms of creative problem solving JOB TYPE : Full Time Monday – Friday 6:00 A.M. – 2:30 P.M.
