From the Carmel Chamber of Commerce: September 23, 2020 Sunset Cultural Center Inc. (SCC) announces our newest entertainment series featuring exclusive outdoor, drive-in concert events filled with exciting and invigorating live musical performances called Sunset Presents: Live From the Lot. As with our popular, completely sold out Fresh Air Film Series, patrons will remain safe and socially distanced in and adjacent their vehicle, while being entertained by stellar artistic talent via an outdoor sound system. Concerts will be presented in the Sunset Center's main parking lot on the north side of our building, on 8th Avenue between San Carlos and Mission Streets. Limited to just 40 vehicles per show, performances will run 75 minutes and will also feature fun food and beverage options. FIRST UP: Andre Thierry – An Accordion Soul, Zydeco-Pop Party! Two Shows on Saturday, October 3 at 3PM & 7PM Two Shows on Sunday, October 4 at 3PM & 7PM Featuring delicious food from the Big Sur Taco Truck Masterful on all accordion types, playing with a force few can match, Andre Thierry is a phenomenal talent who has been capturing the attention of music lovers all over the world. The award-winning, Grammy- nominated musician and his band effortlessly deliver energetic performances, blending his own electrifying sounds with stirring dance beats, exhibiting elite accordion style.
