Is homeownership right for you? YES! Learn how to prepare, what to expect, and how to get the assistance you need to buy your first home. Are you thinking about buying a home? Buying a home is typically one of the biggest decisions and financial investments that you will make in life, but it doesn't have to be scary. We provide education and assistance to Florida homebuyers so that you can confidently buy an affordable home. In fact, a recent study commissioned by Neighbor Works showed that homebuyers who work with HUD-approved homeownership counselors like Consumer Debt Counselors are one-third less likely to become 90 or more days delinquent during the first two years of homeownership than those who do not. All attendees will receive a first-time homebuyer education certificate of completion, which is required for many assistance and lending programs.
