To connect beginning and existing Wyoming Grape Growers with leading experts in the field of viticulture. Are you interested in starting your own vineyard or improving your vineyard management skills? If so, this two day symposium is for you. Everything is inclusive in this event allowing you the freedom to attend, enjoy, and engage with the presenters. There will be drinks and snacks in the morning and afternoons of the event, and full lunches provided both days. The first day of this event is focused on vineyard management. We are excited to be featuring Dr. Horst Caspari, Professor in the Department of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture and Colorado's State Viticulturist. Do not miss out on this great opportunity to interact with a leading viticulturist. Other presenters will be Jeremiah Vardiman, UW Extension Educator, and Scott Schell, UW Extension Entomologist. The main topics covered on day 1 will be canopy management, irrigation tactics, Wyoming climate and soils, grape vineyard insect pests, and much more. The second day of this event is focused on vineyard training and pruning. Come spend the day with Dr. Horst Caspari and Jeremiah Vardiman in the demonstration vineyard to get hands on experience with pruning and training vines. The main topics for day 2 will be vineyard training & pruning, overgrown vine rehabilitation, and hands on experience pruning some vines.
