After a 2-year hiatus, we’re heading to Appleton for the 2022 WDAC Summit! We're celebrating 40 years and the resilient downtowns statewide.
Wisconsin Downtown Action Council (WDAC) is celebrating 40 years advocating and promoting Wisconsin’s treasured downtowns. After a 2-year COVID hiatus, we are excited to be hosting the annual Downtown Summit in person this year in beautiful Appleton, Wisconsin on May 9th and 10th. Our 2022 Summit is presented by AARP Wisconsin.
The WDAC summit will be hosted at the newly renovated Hilton Paper Valley Hotel in the heart of Downtown Appleton. The 2022 Summit Features:

- Concert Reception
- Diverse & Engaging Panelists & Breakouts
- Networking Opportunities
- Keynote Presentation by Gil Penalosa, Founder & Chair of 8 80 Cities (880cities.org).
Day 1 will kick off with a luncheon in Downtown Appleton. After a keynote presentation, attendees will choose one of two mobile workshops. Attendees will reconvene later that evening at the Gibson Music Hall for a catered reception and cocktail hour.
Day 2 will be hosted at the Hilton Paper Valley Hotel and will feature specialized workshops and presentations catering to downtown organizations and community leaders.
