Weston & Sampson is seeking a motivated, proactive individual to work within our growing Electrical Engineering team as an Instrumentation and Controls Designer/Engineer with 2+ years of experience out of any of our New England office locations. This individual will support our growing internal and external client base serving the institutional, educational, commercial, water, wastewater and municipal industries. A basic understanding and interest of process instrumentation, automation equipment and control system communication networks are desired. The ideal candidate will have experience in design and construction administration working in a multi-disciplinary professional engineering firm involved in the production of contract bidding documents and design-build projects. What you’ll do: • Conduct instrumentation and controls system design for both new and renovation projects for a variety of facility types within the private, public and municipal sectors. • Conduct field investigation of existing conditions and generate reports • Provide construction supervision support services • Coordinate with internal engineering staff (particularly process engineers and electrical engineers), equipment vendors and clients • Work with a diverse team on multidiscipline projects • Some travel will be required to client meetings and project sites. What you will bring: • 2 years (minimum) of experience working as system integrator in related field • CAD and/or REVIT Experience • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills • Organizational/time management skills are required. • Desire to grow within the group and company • Valid driver’s license is required.
