Come learn from three-time Olympic Trials Marathon qualifier Michael Eaton about the fundamentals of training for any distance. Whether you're completely new to the sport of running or a seasoned veteran you're sure to walk away with some new insights and tools for getting ready for your next race.
Michael will cover some of the fundamentals he's picked up over the years training for track races as short as the mile all the way up to ultramarathon distances over 26.2 miles. With a degree in health and human performance from the University of Louisville, plus years of personal training, racing and coaching experience, Michael has the ability to take the complex ideas of sports science and break them down into terms that anyone can understand.
The schedule for the night is as follows:
6:00 PM (optional): Tuesday Night Trailhead group run (3- and 6-mile route options)
7:00 PM: Michael's presentations along with light refreshments
7:30 PM: Q&A with Michael about training basics
