Job Description Provide safety instruction to all guests and ensure equipment is in working condition prior to throwing sessions. Welcome guests with an enthusiastic, authentic greeting, including check-in, waiver sign-in etc. Coach by offering guidance on the proper way of axe throwing Effectively manage interactive tournaments/games Entertain and engage your groups Maintain Axes, equipment, and the axe throwing suite Promote merchandise, marketing, and initiatives Support set-up and break-down of games, activities, and equipment Various event support and management as needed Job Requirements Self-starters Follow and promote all rules and guidelines – lead by example Professional appearance (uniform shirt neat and clean, etc.) Able to speak in front of large or small groups Comfortable communicating with diverse customers, guests, and participants Safety conscious with a strong attention to detail Ability to learn software Be the entertainer, put on a show and can engage with our guests Excellent time management skills, consistent attendance, and punctuality Great attitude Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends Works well with others Position requires intermittent and sometimes extended periods of standing, sitting, lifting, bending, reaching, stretching, pushing, pulling, carrying Valid NJ driver’s license High School diploma Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Benefits: Employee discount Flexible schedule Referral program Schedule: Day shift Night shift Weekend availability Supplemental Pay: Tips Application Question(s): Desired rate of pay? Education: High school or equivalent (Preferred) Experience: axe throwing (personal or professional): 1 year (Preferred) License/Certification: Driver's License (NJ) (Required) Work Location: On the road -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Driver (towing 20' axe throwing trailer): We are looking for a Driver to drive a GMC Sierra towing a 20’ axe-throwing trailer in a safe and timely manner and be part of the axe safety and events team. In addition to the below description, driver responsibilities include following all operational, road, and safety laws, arranging regular cleaning and maintenance services for the vehicle and trailer, and planning each route based on road and traffic conditions. Ultimately, you will be key for us ensuring customer satisfaction. To be considered for this role, you must have a valid NJ driver’s license with a clean driving record and must pass a DOT medical card-holder physical exam at hiring. Note: A CDL is not required however a DOT medical card is required for the GVWR of the truck and trailer. Axe safety training provided. We are looking to fill for part-time and are open to full-time candidates with flexible availability. Responsibilities include: Inspect vehicle and trailer for compliance, safety, repairs before and after each shift Map out driving routes ahead of time to determine the most expedient trip, keep abreast of traffic and weather reports to stay up to date on road conditions, Adjust routes to avoid heavy traffic or road constructions, as needed to ensure meeting arrival time deadlines (all events are in NJ – most will fall within Burlington and surrounding counties Assist with loading, unloading, set-up, break-down, axe and event safety and support – see below for more details Schedule regular vehicle service appointments and report any issues, maintain equipment as appropriate and report any issues Other duties as needed Skills and Requirements Proven experience towing 20’+ trailer A valid NJ driver’s license with a clean driving record Must pass DOT medical-card holder physical exam at hiring (FMCSA non-CDL) Familiarity with GPS devices Ability to lift and move around equipment as needed Availability to work varying schedule based on event booking A polite and professional disposition with patience and flexibility in changing environments Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (e.g. at rush hour, aggressive drivers, navigating the unexpected) High school diploma / GED Axe safety details: Training provided Uniform shirt provided Exciting environment/atmosphere – culture of safety, inclusion, and value providing a premium entertainment experience for customers Looking for a brand ambassador/professionalism, customer-centric, 100% safety 1st (self & participants), set-up/break-down, equipment accountability, comfortable hosting/public speaking/engaging diverse customers, emotional intelligence/maturity, ability to learn software, position requires intermittent and sometimes extended periods of standing, sitting, lifting, bending, reaching, stretching, pushing, pulling, carrying, valid NJ driver’s license, flexible scheduling availability (day/evening/weekend shifts) Previous axe safety or axe throwing experience is a plus, but not necessary Towing experience required (20’ hitch trailer) Ability to pass DOT medical card-holder physical required Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Benefits: Employee discount Flexible schedule Schedule: Weekend availability Supplemental Pay: Tips Application Question(s): Desired rate of pay?
