"It's a Boy: Understanding Your Son's Development from Birth to Eighteen," with Dr. Michael Thompson on Apr. 5, 2022. Michael Thompson, Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist, author and school consultant, who has worked in schools for 50 years, starting out as a middle school teacher, later training as a counselor and psychologist. He is presently the supervising psychologist for the Belmont Hill School in Belmont, MA and has worked in over 700 schools in the U.S., Asia, Africa, Europe, and Central America. The author or coauthor of nine books, including the New York Times bestseller Raising Cain: Protecting the Emotional Life of Boys; Best Friends, Worst Enemies: Understanding the Social Lives of Children; and The Pressured Child, Dr. Thompson will speak on the development of boys from ages across their adolescence. This adults-only event is the final installment of the 2021-22 Browning School Speaker Series, presented with matching support from the Edward E. Ford Foundation.
