Description

Join GW SAS for a discussion with an alternative rock icon, Sameer Gadhia, for a conclusion of GW's South Asian Heritage Celebration! Each March marks South Asian Heritage Celebration at George Washington University – a month dedicated to celebrating South Asian culture and the diversity the region encapsulates through various programming events put on throughout the month. This year's theme is Post Colonial Resilience and Resistance and is aimed at celebrating South Asian joy, struggle, artistic expression, and the ways in which we preserve our culture in the diaspora. To conclude this month of celebration and our keynote weekend, GW South Asian Society and the Multicultural Student Services Center are bringing Sameer Gadhia, lead vocalist and co-founder of Young the Giant. Join GW SAS on Sunday, March 27th at 1 pm for a conversation with one of the biggest names in the alternative rock world, Sameer Gadhia, about claiming space as a South Asian artist, navigating the music industry, and staying true to your roots. We will have a moderated Q&A followed by a chance for audience members to ask questions. This event is open to both GW community members and non-GW folks.
