JCA Member/Discovery Days - Women's History Month; Frida Kahlo
Discovery Days are family-focused programs and activities held at Capitol Park Museum each month. Friends of the Capitol Park Museum host a special 10 AM program for all Junior Cultural Ambassador members.
This month is in celebration of Women's History Month, Women of the Arts: Frida Kahlo. Frida Kahlo was an inspiration to many artists who came after her. Her self-portraits, which were inspired largely by nature, her bright colors, and confidence in her work identify her unique style. After “meeting” Ms. Kahlo, participants will create a Frida Kahlo collage.
JCA programs are made possible through a partnership with BREC.
JCA programs are open to the public for a $10 fee (includes entry into the musuem)
ALL youth and Household members of the Friends of the Capitol Park Museum are FREE.
