Fun for the whole family! Reserve your free ticket. Celebrate our amazing planet in a day of fun for the whole family! Enjoy musical performances by Bash the Trash, get up close with live animals, and jump into our many other offerings. There’ll be artmaking activities, interactive tours, storytelling, and special planetarium shows. Don’t forget to explore Dynamic Earth and Endangered!, our immersive experiences of different natural environments, and check out stations by our friends at Aerofarms and STEAM Urban. Grab something tasty at one of the food trucks, available outside the South Wing entrance. Timeline: 12pm: Artmaking activities begin 12:30pm: Zula Patrol 2: Down to Earth planetarium show 12:30pm: Storytime of The Day The Crayons Quit & activity begins (repeats every half hour) 1pm: Bash the Trash performance 1:30pm: SkyQuest planetarium show 2pm: Rizzo’s Wildlife World Live Animal presentation 2:30pm: Zula Patrol 2: Down to Earth planetarium show 3pm: Bash the Trash performance 3:30 pm: SkyQuest planetarium show 4pm: Rizzo’s Wildlife World Live Animal presentation 5pm: Event ends Planetarium Shows The Zula Patrol 2: —Down to Earth (recommended for families with kids ages 5 and up; duration 25 minutes) The Zula Patrol finds that someone has been traveling back to Earth’s prehistoric past to dump toxic trash! On their mission, the Zula Patrollers learn all about the formation and development of Earth but must find and catch the culprit before it’s too late! SkyQuest (recommended for families with kids ages 7 and up; duration 25 minutes) Come along with a young astronomer on her personal quest to find a special place in the night sky. She shares her telescope views of the Moon and planets and points out stars and constellations. Community Days are presented by Horizon Foundation of New Jersey. Effective March 28, 2022, the Museum will no longer require proof of vaccination, negative COVID-19 tests, or temperature screenings. The use of masks will be strongly encouraged but not mandatory.
