Interfaith Prayer and Sistership
Lifting united voices to One with many names.
As we close Women’s History Month, this is a call to women across Chicago and the suburbs to gather and pray. Confronted by sharp social and political conflicts, senseless gun violence, the threats to our democracy, and the looming specter of international war, most of us feel overwhelmed by the macro dilemmas. Many of us are beleaguered by personal anxieties, family tensions, and the lingering stresses of Covid. We need to pause, to pray. Pray for peace – in our hearts and homes, our neighborhoods, our nation, the world. We will pray for the people of Ukraine and all those beset by tyranny, violence, poverty, and neglect. Following prayer and meditation, we will hear from remarkable women leaders, encourage each other, and enjoy refreshments. Please join us! Kindly wear a mask and bring proof of vaccination.
