Atlas Tree is looking for self-motivated, energetic Climbers to work with our East Bay crews in the Concord area. You should be a driven, self-starter with great attention to detail who’s looking to work with an awesome company with lots of opportunities for growth. If you have experience Great! But if you don't and are looking for an adventurous career change we will train you and put you through our apprenticeship program. REQUIREMENTS:  1-2 years of climbing - ideal but will train Removal & pruning experience Can pass a Drug Test Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable Good driving record Pass a Skills Assessment - to determine training needs You also must have GRIT, PASSION, LEADERSHIP, and RESPECT! Most importantly, you must protect your brothers and sisters at all times... Safety is your DUTY, OBLIGATION, and RESPONSIBILITY. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS BUT NOT A DEAL BREAKER: ISA Certified Tree Climber ISA Certified Arborist Proficiency in technical rigging, crane work Ability to prune young to mature trees CDL class A (or Class A permit) Excellent communication skills   Duties will include, but are not limited to: Trim and/or remove trees by climbing with the aid of a ladder, safety belt, climbing line, powered trimmer lift truck, or work from the ground using gasoline, air, and hand-powered saws, pruners, etc. Cut branches or trunk sections and drops or lowers them to the ground with lines Use of chainsaws in felling trees or trimming trunks and in cutting and splitting logs into manageable pieces Load and unload trucks with logs, stumps, brush, and debris and/or feed brush into a wood chipper Repair slight damage to lawns, fences, and walks caused by tree trimming Service gasoline, air, and hand-powered tools and other equipment Relay hand-signals, direct traffic, drive, and operate trucks and equipment, as assigned, and keep trucks and work area clean and orderly Perform other related work, as assigned by superiors Safeguard employees and the public from hazards in and around the work area. Cooperate with customers, police, and fire departments when blocking streets or driveways. Set up barriers, warning signs, flags, markers, etc. to protect employees and public Work with, near, and around hazardous equipment Work in close proximity to energized power lines Work in all temperatures and weather  Works around excessive noise from machines, chain saw, wood chipper, and other equipment, with hearing protection Work will be performed at varying heights above ground Work on unlevel terrain.
