HACKETTSTOWN, NJ - With the highest temperatures seen thus far this season in the forecast, Hackettstown officials are preparing cooling center and a charge station for residents, according to the Hackettstown Police Department.
According to officials, the Hackettstown Senior Center, 293 Main Street, will be utilized as a cooling center on Monday and Tuesday from noon to 4:00 p.m. with hours and dates subject to change if necessary. This is for any Town of Hackettstown resident that may lose power or doesn't have an air conditioning unit.
If any resident looses power the Senior Center will also be a charging station for cell phones, computers, etc.
Anyone that that needs to utilize the building will be screened prior to entry and is required to wear a face covering, police said.
