HACKETTSTOWN, NJ - The federal government has sent millions to companies in New Jersey for coronavirus relief efforts since Congress passed the CARES Act in March and locally it still being doled out. Some of that federal money is going to end up in Hackettstown, and it is slated for Transistor Devices, INC, according to the Federal Procurement Data System. The money will be used to supply the Department of the Army. Congress passed the $2 trillion Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act on March 27. In addition to direct aid to people who lost their jobs and the Paycheck Protection Program to help small businesses avoid laying off workers, the act included direct government spending for fighting the coronavirus.
