Milford Fatal Stabbing: Robin Sentenced In 2017 Death

MILFORD, MA — A Milford man may spend up to 14 years in prison for a 2017 fatal stabbing along Green Street. Jeremy Robin was sentenced last week to 10 to 14 years in prison on a voluntary manslaughter charge. He was also sentenced to up to seven years in prison on an aggravated assault and battery charge, and up to three years on an assault and battery dangerous weapon charge. Robin will serve all three sentences concurrently, according to the Worcester County District Attorney's Office. A jury convicted Robin in October over the 2017 stabbing death of Timothy Commerford, 21, of Holliston. The sentence handed down this month was slightly less than what the Worcester DA had requested: up to 18 years on the manslaughter charge, up to 15 on the aggravated assault and battery charge and up to 12 on the assault and battery dangerous weapon charge. Robin was arrested in May 2017 after an afternoon fight along Green Street. Milford police said Robin, armed with a knife, stabbed two men during a confrontation. Commerford died at Milford Hospital. The second victim, Richard Garcia, 54, of Milford, was treated for serious injuries at UMass Memorial in Worcester.
