YARDLEY, PA — A 61-year-old man from Allentown is facing charges claiming he made threatening and racist phone calls to someone in Yardley. According to the Yardley Borough Police Department, in August of last year an officer was given a recorded phone message received by a resident of the borough. The message included "multiple racially charged comments and threats," according to police. The department launched an investigation along with the Bucks County District Attorney's office that involved multiple search warrants. Ultimately, a suspect was identified and probable cause was developed for charges, police said. On Wednesday, a warrant was issued for the Allentown man on charges of ethnic intimidation, terroristic threats and harassment. An arrest in the case is pending, police said Thursday. Patch has reached out to the district attorney's office for more information in the case. We'll update this post with details as they become available.
