MARLBOROUGH, MA — A Marlborough resident who was a suspect in a January gun-brandishing incident was arrested over the weekend after a traffic stop, according to police.
Near 10:30 p.m. Friday, A Marlborough officer spotted a car with an expired registration parked at Jaworek Elementary School. Police pulled the car over along Hosmer Street and arrested the driver.
Inside the car, police found a handgun, cell phones and an ounce of cannabis. The driver, an 18-year-old, was also wanted in connected to a Jan. 29 incident behind Market32. According to police, the 18-year-old flashed a gun at another person.
The man, a Susan Road resident, was arrested on charges of possession of a firearm, assault with a dangerous weapon, class D drug distribution, possession of ammunition without a license and motor vehicle violations, according to Marlborough police.
