HARRISON, NY — An early morning traffic stop in Harrison led to the arrest of a driver with a BAC more than twice the legal limit and who had a recent conviction for the same offense, New York State Police said. On Saturday, around 1 a.m., state police stopped a car on I-287 for traffic violations but while speaking with the driver, it soon became apparent to troopers that he was intoxicated. Edisson R. Mocha Cabrera was taken into custody where his blood alcohol content was determined to be .22 percent. Additionally, the 28-year-old from West Harrison was previously convicted of a DWI within the last 10 years and as a result, was charged with felony aggravated driving while intoxicated. He was turned over to a sober third party and released on appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Harrison Court on April 3.
