SEASIDE HEIGHTS, NJ — Two people are facing drug distribution charges after authorities seized cocaine, a handgun and a taser during a raid at a Seaside Heights home, the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office said Tuesday. Jimmey Bryant Jr., 22, and Ceeyanna Pringle, 18, both of Seaside Heights, were arrested March 18 following a two-month investigation by the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office Narcotics Strike Force and the Seaside Heights Police Department, Prosecutor Bradley J. Billhimer said. The investigation identified a residence as being used by Bryant and Pringle for distribution, he said. The detectives from the strike force and Seaside Heights detectives and patrol officers, along with the Ocean County Regional SWAT Team and the Ocean County Sheriff's Office K-9 Unit, executed a court-authorized search warrant at the residence. They seized 20 grams of cocaine powder, 20 grams of crack cocaine, a loaded 9mm semi-automatic handgun, a conducted energy device (also known as a taser), and a digital scale, Billhimer said. The investigation led to a search of a nearby residence and detectives seized a second semi-automatic handgun with a loaded 30-round magazine, he said. Additional charges are anticipated to be filed, Billhimer said. Bryant was charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute; possession of more than 1 ounce of marijuana with intent to distribute; possession of cocaine; possession of a weapon while committing a controlled dangerous substance offense; possession with intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance within 1,000 feet of school property; possession with intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance within 500 feet of a public park; and possession of drug paraphernalia, Billhimer said. In addition, Bryant was found to have two outstanding arrest warrants for aggravated assault with a weapon in connection with an unrelated incident that occurred in Seaside Heights in March 2021, he said. Bryant is being held in the Ocean County Jail pending a detention hearing. Pringle has been charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute; possession of more than 1 ounce of marijuana with intent to distribute; possession of cocaine; possession of a weapon while committing a controlled dangerous substance offense; possession with intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance within 1,000 feet of school property; possession with intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance within 500 feet of a public park; and possession of drug paraphernalia, Billhimer said. She was charged on a summons and released pending a further court appearance. In addition to the officers involved in the investigation and search warrant execution, the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office Asset Forfeiture Unit assisted, the prosecutor's office said.
