Description

MARYLAND — Maryland Day is Friday, March 25. Patch wants to see how you're celebrating the holiday, which marks when colonists arrived in Maryland in 1634. Show us your Maryland flags, Old Bay cans and state pride for a chance to be featured in our holiday photo round-up. To participate, email your best picture to [email protected] with the subject line "Photo Of The Week." Participants must also include this statement in their email: "I, [insert name], took this picture, and I give Patch permission to publish it." Don't forget to mention where you snapped the photo and tell us what's in the picture. Please only submit photos that you took personally. Horizontal pictures are preferred. Photos are due every Thursday at noon. We will post a story with a few of our favorites each Monday morning. The next photo round-up will go out on Monday, March 28. Good luck! Aerial Shot Of Landmark Dan Longenderfer submitted this picture of the Roland Water Tower in Baltimore. This structure was built in 1905 to serve the city's Hampden neighborhood. The 117-year-old site has since needed some repairs. Longenderfer works for the parent company of Lewis Contractors, which performed a major renovation to save the tower from decay. This photo shows the finished product. Courtesy of Dan Longenderfer Superhero Sighting In State Capital Zipping over to Annapolis, another reader spotted a superhero at City Dock. Dee Simms shared this shot of Spider-Man protecting Ego Alley. Courtesy of Dee Simms RELATED: Photos Of The Week: Top Maryland Pictures Sent By March 17 Have a story idea?
