Guitarist and drummer looking for more band members. We are both experienced, knowledgeable musicians, but have limited gigging experience. We both come from more orchestral backgrounds, with the drummer being an accomplished marimba player, and myself being a not so accomplished saxophone player. Our influences range from classic progressive, hard rock, and psychedelic bands (doors, floyd, zeppelin etc.), to jam bands (dead, allmans, phish) to jazz and funk, to modern ambient, alternative, hip hop, and electronic artists. We aren’t necessarily looking to incorporate all of these influences, but they are significant to us nonetheless. We are looking to find new sounds and make interesting and unique music, and are looking for musicians who will bring a unique voice and perspective to the music and their instrument. We are primarily interested in bassists and keyboardists, however all are welcome to reply and multi instrumental talents are also welcomed. Gigging experience is not necessary, as long as you can show proof of your proficiency on your instrument. You don’t have to be able to “shred” but competency in writing, keeping up with more complex progressions and time signatures, and improvising are definitely wanted. Any form of vocal ability is also welcomed, as although I have sang on songs and in live settings, I am not a trained vocalist or a particularly accomplished one aside from being able to sing in tune. Don’t worry if you don’t consider yourself the most technically gifted musician ever, if you’re interested in making unique and interesting music, we want to hear from you!
