Hello, neighbors! It's me again, Shannon Denney, your host of the New Orleans Daily. First, today's weather: Partly sunny and pleasant. High: 71 Low: 53. Here are the top three stories in New Orleans today: The State of Louisiana has deployed the National Guard to the tornado disaster area to help clear roads, provide security and engineering support as well as search for people who may have been left behind. (FOX 8 Local First) The tornado that touched down Tuesday evening caused the most damage across New Orleans' Lower Ninth Ward after it touched down in St. Bernard Parish wreaking the most damage in the Arabi area. Many homes were damaged causing the electricity to go out. (WWNO) The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office is currently investigating a shooting in Marrero that occurred Tuesday evening that left one dead and one injured. There are no reports on potential motives at this time. One victim was pronounced dead at the scene and the other was transported to the hospital for treatment.
