Press release from the Long Beach Area Chamber of Commerce: March 10, 2022 Long Beach Area Chamber of Commerce announces Rhiannon Acree as incoming Chair of the Board for 2022-2023 LONG BEACH, Calif., (March 10, 2022) – The Long Beach Area Chamber of Commerce today announced Rhiannon Acree as the new incoming Chair of the Board for 2022-2023, effective July 1, 2022. Acree currently serves on the Chamber's Board of Directors, is Vice Chair of Public Policy on the Leadership Cabinet, and is Chair of the Government Affairs Committee. "I'm honored to be selected as the incoming Chair of the Board for the Chamber. My time working with the team has been very rewarding and we've been able to accomplish several goals in the current environment. I look forward to more in-person meetings and hands-on activities," said Acree. "Together with the terrific Chamber staff and committees, we will be able to accomplish an agenda to benefit our stakeholders, business partners and the community." Acree is the owner and president of Cambrian Homecare, established in March 1996 as a privately owned company specializing in at home care and currently employs more than 1,000 caregivers. From its inception in Long Beach, Cambrian Homecare now serves four Southern California counties, employing outstanding caregivers providing customized, flexible nonmedical homecare daily. "We are fortunate to have Rhiannon positioned to lead the Chamber board in the coming years as we strive to return to 'business as we know it' in the post-pandemic era," said Jeremy Harris, President and CEO of the Long Beach Area Chamber of Commerce. "She is a true asset to the Long Beach business community, a successful entrepreneur and gifted leader that will serve our organization well." Acree has extensive experience in the home health and homecare business since the mid 1980s. She is a nursing graduate of the University Hospital of Wales with additional certification in Midwifery from Bristol in England. Acree believes that caring, hard work and resilience has contributed to her faith in entrepreneurship and the importance of the local business community. She considers helping others as the most rewarding job ever. "The Chamber has the tools to assist businesses in the community to thrive at every level.
