Press release from College of Lake County: Come see what an asset College of Lake County (CLC) is at the in-person Open House between 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 9. The free event is open to the public and takes place at all three campuses in Grayslake, Waukegan and Vernon Hills. Attending Open House is a great way to celebrate Community College Month this April. CLC serves nearly 700,000 residents in diverse communities throughout Lake County. The college is proud to be part of building strategic collaborative partnerships to establish innovative solutions that meet the diverse skilled talent pipeline workforce needs in its community. At Open House, learn about the 170 degrees and certificates the college offers in nine fields of interest, as well as financial aid, scholarships and employment opportunities for students. "We are excited to show off CLC in-person for the first time in over two years," said Assistant Director of Outreach and On-Campus Experiences Jason Sarna. "Open House is a great opportunity for those interested in attending to learn more about CLC. You can ask faculty and staff questions directly and get information about all of the programs and student services the college offers." Visitors can come and go as they please, chatting with faculty members, college and career navigators and academic success advisors. They can also view live, interactive labs and demonstrations, including a fire door demo, go on campus tours and get updates on building and expansion projects in Lake County. CLC is also hosting Maker Faire Lake County in-person for the first time on April 9. This year's Maker Faire is filled with projects made in Lake County.
