HACKETTSTOWN, NJ - Despite the impact of the novel coronavirus, or COVID-19, outbreak in our area the primary election season is gearing up in Hackettstown.
Current mayor Maria DiGiovanni is not running for another term. Republican Gerald DiMaio, a sitting councilman is running for his party's nomination to succeed her.
Incumbent councilmen Leonard Kunz and Eric Tynan have also filed to take another shot at the dais.
Concerns over the new coronavirus have pushed the primary to July 7.
