Man Wanted In Kendall, Will, Kane Counties Found In Arizona

KENDALL COUNTY, IL — A man wanted in Kendall County for more than a decade for accusations of home repair fraud was arrested in Arizona Monday. According to a news release from the Kendall County Sheriff's Office, 49-year-old Joseph Burns, a fugitive since November 2007, was arrested in Glendale, Arizona, after being on the run and living under a false identity for nearly 13 years. Burns faces multiple charges of home repair fraud out of Kendall County, a home repair fraud charge out of Will County, and additional warrants for theft out of Kane County, according to the sheriff's office. Burns was arrested in the 5000 block of N. 64th Lane in Glendale at 1:15 p.m. Monday by members of the United States Marshals District of Arizona after the Kendall County Sheriff's Office and United States Marshals Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force conducted a lengthy investigation into his whereabouts, according to the news release.
