CARLSBAD, CA — A trail cleanup event is scheduled Saturday, March 26, at Village H North in Carlsbad. Located north and east of Carlsbad Village Drive, this half-mile trail traverses a narrow, long canyon with coastal sage and hilltops and slopes with groves of eucalyptus trees.
Volunteer trail work will include trail repairs, native vegetation planting, invasive species removal and clearing leaves.
The city will train volunteers how to use the tools and provide shovels, McLeod tools, rakes and water. Volunteers should wear closed-toe shoes, sunscreen and gloves, according to the city.
Volunteers will need to sign COVID-19 waiver forms at the event in order to participate, city officials said.
Volunteers are required to RSVP to [email protected] by noon Thursday, March 24. The event will take place from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. The event will be canceled if it is raining.

Interstate 5 to Carlsbad Village Drive.Head east on Carlsbad Village Drive past El Camino Real.Make a right onto Victoria Avenue.Parking is available along Victoria Avenue. Be conscientious of the neighbors while parking in the neighborhood. Walk across Carlsbad Village Drive. Be careful at the crosswalk because it is a busy street.There will be a check-in table to the west.
