CALVERTON, NY — Police are searching for whoever burglarized a Calverton store early Wednesday. According to Riverhead Town Police, at 6:05 a.m., a report came in about a commercial burglary at Wine Country Deli on Middle Road. When officers arrived, it was determined that someone had entered the shop and removed an undetermined amount of cash, police said. The burglary was the second reported in Riverhead Town Wednesday: Earlier in the day, a burglary was reported at Country Rotisserie on Old Country Door, where someone has smashed the glass front door, police said.
