We are a marine transportation company that is looking for a Forklift Operator/Stevedore. Currently, we are in search of someone that is dependable, efficient, and a team player to fulfill our position as a forklift Operator/Stevedore. Most importantly, this position requires the right candidate to work independently and take initiative to complete tasks with minimum direction. Qualifications: * Valid Driver’s license * Must have TWIC card or be eligible (background check required) * Punctual and reliable * Ability to work in a fast paced environment * Strong attention to details * Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening General duties will include (but are not limited to): * Reports to Terminal Manager and Lead Operator * Previous forklift experience 20’& 40’ containers, flats, etc… * Lashing down barges * Consolidating materials * Driving company vehicles to run errands * Maintain a clean yard and warehouse * Assist in receiving duties as needed It would be beneficial to our company if you lived in the South Park (Seattle) area and had your own vehicle for transportation. It is not required but is highly looked upon. This is a Seasonal position M-F (May- September) at 40 hrs per week with overtime and possible trips to Alaska if expectations are exceeded; plus benefits after a probationary period. Wage starts at $23-25 per hour depending on experience. All successful applicants will be subject to and must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
