CHESTER COUNTY, PA — A new HBO show starring Kate Winslet is now filming in the Philadelphia suburbs, with locations set up around Chester and Delaware counties. The special limited series, "Mare of Easttown," follows the Academy, Emmy, and Grammy-award winning Winslet in a police role. "A detective in a small Pennsylvania town investigates a local murder while trying to keep her life from falling apart," the IMDB preview of the show reads. Specifically, filming is taking place at a vacant Kmart in Coatesville, according to 6ABC. Previously, Winslet and co-star Evan Peters were spotted filming near Don's Deli in Boothwyn, Delaware County, Fox29 reports. It's Winslet's first television appearance since 2011's "Mildred Pierce." Perhaps best known for her starring role in "Titanic," Winslet has also gained critical praise for work in "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" and "Revolutionary Road," among numerous other films. "Mare of Easttown" is set to premiere at some point in 2020. It's directed by Gavin O'Connor, known for 2016's "The Accountant."
