Description

CHESTER COUNTY, PA — Motorists who use Old Wilmington Road in western Chester County will encounter a detour next week. Old Wilmington Road traffic will be detoured between Route 340 (Kings Highway) and Business U.S. 30 (Lincoln Highway) Monday through Friday, July 27-31. Local access will be allowed. Road construction will require the detour July 27-31 between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m., in West Caln and Sadsbury townships, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent. Work on this operation will be in accordance with Centers for Disease Control and state Department of Health guidance as well as a project-specific COVID-19 safety plan. The plan includes protocols for social distancing, use of face coverings, personal and job-site cleaning protocols, management of entries to the jobsite, special signage and relevant training. PennDOT traffic alerts in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties can be found at www.penndot.gov/District6.
