"The other theaters will remain, but this one has taken its final breath," the worker said via social media. While many of its theatres are now open, the popular theater chain has struggled to stay afloat amid the coronavirus pandemic. Back in June, AMC announced that it had "substantial doubt" the company could remain in business after the coronavirus pandemic forced the closure of all of its locations for several months. After recently reporting a $905.8 million quarterly loss, AMC Theatres announced Tuesday that it the launch of its Private Theatre Rentals program in hopes of reversing its declining revenues. Guests can rent out a showing at any of AMC's approximately 600 theatres nationwide for as low as $99 plus tax for a wide array of popular movies. Guests wanting to book a private showing for up to 20 friends and family members can do so by going to amctheatres.com/rentals or by updating and using the AMC Theatres mobile app. SEE ALSO: AMC Theatres: This Woodridge Location Could Close
